Russ

Russ is the creator and founder of The Edge. The development of a cross- country motorcycle ride has been a goal of his for the past couple years. But Russ just didn’t want to do another motorcycle ride. He combined a sports and entertainment component together with a touring motorcycle ride and The Edge was born.
Russ grew up in Toronto Canada and moved to Southern California to attend college and graduated with a degree in Economics and Marketing. Being raised in an entertainment family, his father was an accomplished commercial and film director and producer and his mother was an actress and model, Russ fell right into the world of sports and entertainment.
Right out of college Russ started his company Sports & Entertainment International. Now based in Las Vegas, Nevada, the company is entering the 35th year of being involved in many facets of the marketing and management of sports, entertainment, television and film. The company has a long history in professional motorsports (NHRA, NASCAR, INDYCAR and Formula 1) working on the business side of the sport consulting with companies to maximize their marketing investment. Russ has also been a featured speaker at industry tradeshows and conferences such as the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Performance Racing Industry tradeshow and numerous sports marketing conferences. Russ was the creator and founder of The World Motor Racing Summit the very first ever conference dedicated to the business of marketing and sponsorship of professional motor racing.
Beginning in 2006 the company expanded into the entertainment space and began consulting and representing talent in music, film and television. Most notably Deadliest Catch and Bering Sea Gold.
Russ and his company continue to innovate by creating and implementing new and unique events and projects in the sports and entertainment business.
By taking all the years of experience in the sports and entertainment arena Russ has applied that knowledge to create a business model for a touring motorcycle ride. Creating themed riding events with a built-in entertainment component to include bands, performers, celebrities and special guests tailored to a motorcycle riding community has never really been done before.
